INSTRUMENTS
PIANO LESSONS
From classic to pop, our instructors teach a variety of styles to keep our students engaged. Students will learn the fundamentals of sight reading, technique, performance and theory. No piano at home, no problem. A simple, full size electronic keyboard will be sufficient to begin.
Voice Lessons
In voice lessons, students will learn how to breathe properly, increase their range, project, proper pitch, and stage presence. Voice lessons can be taken as private one-on-one instruction or with a friend.
Guitar Lessons
Students will learn a variety of styles such as pop, jazz, rock and classical. Students can start private lessons or Buddy Lessons any time of the year or month so there's no need to wait to get started.
Drum Lessons
Our drum instructors teach rock, metal, jazz, funk, blues and many other styles. Our instructors will challenge any drummer with a wide variety of technical exercises designed to improve your speed and comfort. You do not have to purchase a drum kit to take lessons. Students use our drum set at their lessons.
Ukulele, Violin, BASS aND MORE
We have access to New York's finest instructors. If you have interest in pursuing a different instrument than we have listed, please contact us. We'll find the perfect teacher for your interest and skill level.

GROUP LESSONS
Buddy Lessons If your child has a friend (similar age), why not take lessons together? Buddy lessons provide extra motivation, teamwork and accountability throughout the learning process. There's something so rewarding about watching students learn and grow together. Not only are friendships created, performance anxiety is reduced because they are constantly making music with others. SUMMER LESSONS
Students are encouraged to keep their musical feet wet throughout the summer with a minimum of 3 to 6 lessons. Sign up for what works best for your family's schedule. The studio will be open July 5 to August 13. Also check out our summer Music & Arts Camp.
EARLY CHILDHOOD
Joyful Music is a program designed just for the little ones (upon director approval, some 3 1/2 year olds may be accepted into this program). Through creative activities, your child will use the piano keyboard to develop basic music skills and learn familiar tunes. Classes will include piano geography, note reading, rhythm games, dynamics, percussion instruments, guided listening & singing.
ENRICHMENT
This unique lesson structure combines a private lesson with an additional 15 minutes of enrichment. During this time we have fun and creative ways to reinforce theory and musicianship. Students who take part in this program build a stronger music foundation resulting in a more rewarding and lasting experience. These extra 15 minutes can make all the difference for a beginner student’s foundation.
AUDITION PREP
Do you have an upcoming audition for a school play, local theater, Broadway, or for a prestigious performing arts program like NYSSMA? Rivertown Music Studio can help you prep for your winning audition package by guiding you through song choices, expression and presentation.
You’ll learn to act your song, work with an accompanist and feel confident and prepped with a mock audition. If possible, schedule your prep classes 3 months prior to your audition date. We can help explain the audition process and what is needed to be audition ready.
